The birth of lord Krishna holds much importance in the heart of Aparnaji and the entire family of Rejuvenation and so we celebrate Janmashtmi with all the bliss and happiness as the birth of the divine power, Lord Krishna…but with a twist
It is the vision of our President and Guru to mark Janmashtmi as the birthday of all the shelter home kids who do not know their birth dates, in fact don’t even know what are birthdays and for them we celebrate Janmashtmi. We visit each of the shelter homes under our ambit and celebrate their birthdays. There the kids cut their own cake and we sing birthday songs for them, have meals with them, play games, dance, sing and spread smiles and the most authentic smiles can be seen in the room. This joyous occasion is very much enjoyed by the children and by the members of the rejuvenation centre. This way Janmashtmi becomes the birthday of not only Krishna but also of all the kids in the shelter homes.
We also celebrate Janmastmi at the centre by bringing the whole of Rejuvenation family together and pray to the divine lord Krishna; we sing songs of his name and dance to his tunes to enjoy the powerful bliss of lord Krishna. The event is filled with great love and happiness. Every rejuvenator truly rejuvenates that day and it is amazing to see the soul rejoice in the name of the Lord.
Before all these events, Aparnaji take a week’s worth of classes on Krishna Bhakti. Her lectures invoke the divine desire of meeting with the Lord in each Bhakt. Her exhaustive and in-depth explanations on Krishna Leela sweep all the listeners off their feet and they dive down deep into the all engrossing divine love. Not acknowledging the worldly troubles for next few days all Bhakts keep their souls merged in true spirituality and at the end they only wait for next Janmashtmi to come.
