Discourse on Bhagwad Geeta
Great Guru Yogiraj ji is the epitome of ‘Adhytamn within Grihastha’, he set the rudiment for spirituality without ostracizing himself from the world. His teachings form the fundament of the AGDS Path created by Aparna ji and followed by us. To bring complete clarity into the way of life prescribed for an AGDS member, to explain the tenets of Daan, Tap, Yagya and Ishwar Parinidhan that together form the Kriya Yog, and to inspire the new sadhaks through some life-examples of Yogiraj, Aparna ji took this workshop in two classes that covered the essence of Atma Gyan Dhyan Sadhana.
Aparna ji took an eye-opening class to explain the ‘Spiritual Science’ of our Mind, this topic was explained by inferences from her own experiments with the entity called Mann and the deep adhyatmic science of existence itself. It was truly a discovery of oneself and what’s out there. Such a profound explanation of Mann is absolutely original and cannot be found anywhere else.
Aparnaji took the workshop divided in between three classes. The first class was about Mind’s role in creation of the Universe and affecting change within it. The position of Mann as the only changeable part of Antakaran was explained in detail. The second class was dedicated to understanding the function of Mind in human life. Like in our Upanishads, Aparna ji compared the constitution of Buddhi and Mann to chariot and horses and how Mind can be controlled using this analogy. On the third day, the very texture of Mind as an entity was explained, the formation of Mann, what constitutes and builds it and what happens to it after death. It was truly a workshop that hit hard and made the listener more conscious, in control and braver in life.
Karma is the premise of Bhagwad Geeta, yet people cannot decipher the truth behind Karma. To solve this discrepancy Aparna ji organized a workshop on Karma that dealt with the topic of this Ultimate Truth. She gave an eye-opening lecture about Karma and how it has transformational power that governs all odds in a being’s life. Through her teachings, members got to discover the true meaning of Karma, the importance of a human birth as against other life-forms, the practice of Nishkaam Karma that holds the secret of liberation and the precise yet difficult Law of Karma itself. Aparna ji’s understanding of the topic is very in depth which makes it easy for everyone to understand Karma regardless of their background or age
Rejuvenation organized a debate ‘Are you Hindu or Not?’ to give minds a platform to express themselves about the idea of Hinduism. It was inspired by Mr. Sashi Tharoor’s book ‘Why I am a Hindu’ in which he talks about the history of Hinduism and its core tenets, as well as socio-cultural developments in India that relate to the religion. It was an amazing debate as it was full of great conversations and smart arguments; it brought to the table the idea of Hinduism and its true meaning. The teams were divided into For and Against where everyone presented their ideas with competence and prompted discussions. After the debate, Aparna ji talked about the true sense of Hinduism and why she Is a Hindu, she talked about the meaning and the pillars that it stands on. Her speech was an eye-opener and a true form of expression. The best speakers were Anish Tandon (from for) and Ananjaney Triphati (from Against), runners-up were Chahek Malhotra (from For) and Dikshashree Tiwari (from Against)
